Russian payment system receives license to operate in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE. Dec 4 (Interfax) - The National Bank of Tajikistan issued a perpetual license to Russia's Sokolovsky Bank to function as an operator of the Astrasend payment system, the National Bank said in a statement.

The transfer system currently operates in Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

According to the results of the first half of 2023, Sokolovsky Bank ranks 284th in terms of assets among Russian banks in the Interfax-100 ranking prepared by the Interfax Center for Economic Analysis, and it is the operator of the Astrasend payment system registered in Russia in 2022.
