ASTANA. Dec 4 (Interfax) - KazTransOil will raise the tariffs for oil transportation through Kazakhstan's section of the Tuimazy-Omsk-Novosibirsk-2 oil pipeline (TON-2) from January 1, 2024, Kazakhstan's national pipeline operator said in a press release.

The new tariff will be $11.28 per tonne per 1,000 km exclusive of VAT, according to the press release.

This is compared with today's tariff of 4,292 tenge per tonne per 1,000 km, which has been in effect since April 1, 2018.

As the Kazakh sector of TON-2 pipeline is 186.25 km long, the cost of oil transportation will be 966.7 tenge per tonne ($2.1) from January 1, 2024 compared with today's 799.5 tenge ($1.7), the company added.

KazTransOil, part of KazMunayGas, owns and operates 5,400 km of oil pipelines.
