Ukraine's Energoatom and Hyundai intend to cooperate in area of nuclear energy

MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Ukraine's NNEGC Energoatom and South Korea's Hyundai Engineering & Construction have signed an agreement of intent defining the possibilities for future collaboration between the companies, Ukrainian media reported, citing a statement from Energoatom.

According to the document, the parties thereby plan to conclude a memorandum of cooperation to support new nuclear power plant projects in Ukraine with high and low power PWR reactors, as well as to explore the possibilities of financing the deployment of new nuclear facilities.

Moreover, the companies could jointly conduct research and development in the area of industrial standards and regulatory requirements, and exchange technical knowledge and experience in the future.
