Seaports in Krasnodar Territory, Kerch crossing operating with restrictions owing to weather conditions

MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Dangerous meteorological phenomena remain in the Black Sea, thus the seaports of the Krasnodar Territory and the Kerch crossing are operating with restrictions owing to the weather conditions, the Russian Transport Ministry said in a statement.

According to the statement, the Kerch ferry crossing is operating depending on the actual weather. Over the past 24 hours, 11 ferry trips have been completed.

"There is a storm warning in the area owing to increased wind. According to the forecast of the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (Roshydromet) for December 1, the wind is southwest, south 13 m-18m/second, gusts up to 24 m/second in places, no precipitation, good visibility, wave height of 1.3 m-1.5 m, air temperature +13 C-15 C, and sea water temperature +8 C-9 C," according to the statement.

Weather conditions the previous day rendered it possible, with some restrictions, to resume cargo transshipment and passenger transportation at the main seaports of Russia's Black Sea coast after the storm.

According to the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot), Russia's Black Sea ports are operating on December 1 according to actual weather conditions, and many still have restrictions on certain types of operating activities.
