Norway to allocate funds for Ukraine's food security

MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Norway will provide 200 million Norwegian kroner (around 17 million euros) to the World Food Program, including the Grain from Ukraine program, and will transfer a further NOK 50 million (some 4.2 million euros) to the World Bank's Ukraine Fund, Ukrainian media said, citing the Norwegian government's statement.

"Norway will continue to support the people of Ukraine. The Nansen program [a five-year program of support for Ukraine] is one example of how we manage to combine those efforts," Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide was quoted in the statement as saying.

An additional NOK 150 million (some 12 million euros) will be donated to the World Food Program in response to its emergency appeal for Ukraine, "allowing farmers to go back to food production as quickly as possible," it said.
