Power supply yet to be fully restored in Ukraine after bad weather

MOSCOW. Nov 30 (Interfax) - Almost all motorways in Ukraine were reopened to traffic as of Wednesday evening, and there are no disruptions to rail services in the country, Ukrainian media outlets said, citing the Interior Ministry's report on social media detailing the results of cleanup efforts following a spell of adverse weather.

"The bans on the movement of transport have been lifted on all motorways. Public roads have reopened to traffic. No disruptions to rail services have been reported," the Interior Ministry said.

Meanwhile, power supply is yet to be restored to 469 communities in 13 regions, it said.

A total of 109 communities in the Odessa region remained without electricity as of 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, Ukrainian media said, citing head of the Odessa region's military administration Oleg Kiper.

Power supply has been restored to 119 towns and villages over the past day, Kiper said, adding that DTEK repair teams have been working round the clock.
