Progress MS-23 resupply ship ends its ISS mission

MOSCOW. Nov 29 (Interfax) - The Progress MS-23 resupply ship has undocked from the International Space Station (ISS) to prepare for its sinking in the Pacific, Roscosmos said in a livestream.

Progress MS-23 undocked from the Poisk Mini-Research Module of the ISS Russian segment at 10:55 a.m.

The spaceship's fireproof elements will fall in a non-navigable area of the Pacific Ocean, 2,300 kilometers from the city of Wellington (New Zealand) several hours from now, Roscosmos said. The engines will be started for deorbiting at 2:02 p.m.

The next resupply ship, Progress MS-25, is scheduled to take off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on December 1.

Progress MS-23 docked with the ISS on May 24 to deliver about 2.5 tonnes of cargo.
