Reni reports significant increase in number of ships

MOSCOW. Nov 28 (Interfax) - The number of ships anchored at the Reni port in the Odessa region grew 4.3 times to 43 on Monday, Ukrainian media said, citing the Marine Traffic monitoring application.

The port is expecting another 11 inbound ships. Meanwhile, 22 ships were anchored at the Izmail port in the Odessa region on that day, and another one was expected. The port said it had 28 ships on its territory last Monday.

As reported, bad weather complicates cargo transshipment at sea ports. For instance, the Odessa port was clearing terminals and waiting for power supply to resume.

There were disruptions in power supply to the Yuzhny port, and the access routes and the premises were being cleared. The port continued to transship cargo nevertheless.

The Chernomorsk port was transshipping cargo despite unloading problems caused by disruptions in power supply and bad weather.

The Izmail port resumed cargo transshipment after a short break but had problems with bringing in the cargo.
