Ukrainian PM, EIB president discuss Ukraine restoration projects

MOSCOW. Nov 28 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has met with European Investment Bank (EIB) President Werner Hoyer and his team to discuss the ongoing and new restoration projects in Ukraine.

"Welcomed the opening of the EIB mission in Eastern Europe with an office in Kiev. Discussed ongoing and new restoration projects. Awaiting their implementation. The government is actively cooperating with the EIB in the restoration of infrastructure, energy and heating. Grateful for the consistent work with communities and implementation of municipal projects," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying on a social network on Monday.

The Ukrainian prime minister thanked the EIB for financial assistance, including effective instruments for the post-crisis recovery of Ukraine.

"The EIB was one of the first international financial institutions that provided financial support to the state budget in March 2022. On the whole, the EIB has accumulated over 7.5 billion euros for our state. We highly appreciate the active role of the EIB in the support for Ukraine," Shmygal said.
