Ukraine selecting reconstruction projects to be funded using EIB subvention

MOSCOW. Nov 27 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Ministry for the Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure (Restoration Ministry) has announced a third selection of projects that could be financed using a relevant subvention under an agreement between Ukraine and the European Investment Bank to finance the country's reconstruction.

Local self-government bodies, local executive bodies, and executive bodies of rural, town, and city councils of territorial communities are entitled to submit proposals on relevant projects until December 20, 2023 inclusive, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to the Restoration Ministry.

A community can submit an application concerning only one facility whose reconstruction funding from other sources has not yet been endorsed.

Projects have been selected for the construction, renovation, or upgrade of public buildings, construction, renovation, or upgrade of critical infrastructure, or construction, renovation, or upgrade of buildings to serve as housing for internally displaced persons and persons who have lost homes because of the crisis.

As reported, Ukraine and the EIB ratified an agreement to finance a program for Ukraine's reconstruction in summer 2021.
