Kazakhstan's airlines to expand fleet to 145 aircraft by 2025 - minister

ASTANA. Nov 27 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's airlines will expand their combined fleet to 145 aircraft by 2025, Transport Minister Marat Karabayev said.

"This year we're adding 11 more aircraft, making it 100 aircraft in Kazakhstan. By 2025, we aim for domestic passenger airlines to own 145 aircraft," he said during a meeting with Kostanai region residents on Saturday.

Karabayev also said that "there are plans to introduce new air routes."

He also said a new low cost airline and an international airline could appear on the market. "There'll be competition and air fares will come down," he said.
