YouTube monetization to become available in Armenia in 2024 - Pashinyan

YEREVAN. Nov 24 (Interfax) - YouTube will launch a partner monetization program in Armenia next year, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Friday.

"The Armenian High-Tech Industry Ministry promises that the monetization system will be launched in 2024," Pashinyan said on a live program while answering questions from Armenian citizens and the diaspora.

He emphasized the importance of this issue, including in terms of stimulating intellectual and creative work in the country.

The possibility of monetization on YouTube was previously unavailable in Armenia. Content creators who wished to receive revenue from video blogs had to register their accounts in other countries.

Monetization enables content creators on YouTube to receive revenue, including from advertisement views.

The monetization program is not available in all countries. For instance, it was reported on March 10, 2022 that YouTube had fully suspended monetization in Russia.
