Geropharm to begin supplying insulin to Morocco in 2024 - authorities

ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 24 (Interfax) - Geropharm LLC will supply the first consignment of insulin to Morocco at the beginning of 2024, Kirill Soloveichik, Chairman of the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of the City of St. Petersburg, posted on his Telegram channel.

As noted, Geropharm produces the active ingredient of the drug at the facilities of its St. Petersburg plant.

Geropharm is a biotechnology company founded in 2000. In October 2013, the company launched a full-cycle plant for the production of genetically engineered human insulin in the Moscow Region, and at the end of 2018, an enterprise for the production of insulin active ingredients in St. Petersburg. The company also includes a research and development center that develops drugs for the treatment of diabetes, including analogue insulin, as well as neurological, ophthalmological, and urological drugs. The company's drugs are exported to the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Mongolia, Georgia, Venezuela, and Algeria. Geropharm is focused on expanding its presence abroad, with the company's strategically important regions being the countries of Latin America, North Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
