Russian govt to allocate 12 bln rubles to create LNG receiving terminal in Kamchatka

MOSCOW. Nov 24 (Interfax) - The Russian government will allocate 12 billion rubles from the federal budget for construction of onshore infrastructure facilities to receive LNG in Kamchatka.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the corresponding decree No.1968 on November 23, with the document posted on the government website.

Furthermore, a floating LNG receiving terminal will be created using extra-budgetary sources and marine gas tanker vessels will be built, the government press service said.

LNG should be supplied to Kamchatka within the framework of the Sakhalin-2 project.
