Wildberries to build the largest logistics center in Belarus

MINSK. Nov 23 (Interfax) - Wildberries marketplace will build a logistics center in Belarus, its fifth in the country.

"During the Belarusian Investment Forum in Moscow, the Industrial Park Development Company and Wildberries signed a purchase and sale agreement for a land plot with an area of more than 27 hectares," the press service of the Great Stone Chinese-Belarusian industrial park told Interfax.

The center, the total area of which will be more than 120,000 square meters, will become the largest logistics facility in Belarus, the press service said. "The transaction for the sale of a land plot of this size into private ownership is the largest in the history of the Great Stone Industrial Park," the release said.

The integrated logistics project involves the creation of a Wildberries distribution center using modern technological equipment, and will provide for the creation of 5-6,000 jobs.

In Belarus, Wildberries logistics centers currently operate in Minsk (6,000 sq. m.), Minsk region (13,000 sq. m.), Gomel (1,700 sq. m.) and Brest (8,000 sq. m.).
