Ukrainian Startup Fund joins TAFTIE European network of innovation agencies
MOSCOW. Nov 23 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF) became a member of the European Network of Leading National Innovation Agencies (TAFTIE) on Wednesday.
"Ukraine's membership will make it possible to learn from the cutting-edge experience of other national organizations and will provide a great deal of opportunities for cooperation with innovation agencies at the international level," Ukrainian media outlets quoted USF as saying in a statement on social media.
The TAFTIE network has more than 8,000 technology staff who manage a total innovation-related budget of over 10 billion euros, it said.
TAFTIE's members include national agencies such as Innovate UK, Innovation Norway, Invitalia (Italy), Luxinnovation (Luxembourg), VINNOVA (Sweden), etc.
Innovate UK held the TAFTIE presidency in 2022. Croatia's HAMAG-BICRO took over the presidency in the network in 2023, and the Innosuisse Swiss innovation agency will hold it in 2024.
The European Network of Leading National Innovation Agencies (TAFTIE) shares the best practice to help its partners better implement R&D and other innovation programs within their countries and internationally. TAFTIE comprises 35 organizations from 29 countries and enables national organizations to learn from the successful experience and cooperation at the EU level.
