Number of vessels in Ukraine's Izmail port has tripled

MOSCOW. Nov 23 (Interfax) - MarineTraffic data shows that the number of vessels in the Odessa region's Izmail port increased to 128 on Tuesday this week from 40 on Tuesday the week before, Ukrainian media said.

Another 40 vessels are expected to arrive.

There were 28 vessels in the Izmail port on Monday, and 23 more were expected to arrive there.

Meanwhile, there were nine ships in the Reni port of Tuesday, with no new arrivals expected. On Monday, there were ten vessels in the Reni port and two more should be arriving soon. The number of vessels observed in the Reni port on Monday the week before stood at 11.

The Danube ports have more than doubled their cargo transshipment this year, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said earlier. In this context, Ukraine's key partner is Romania, which accounts for 11% of the value of Ukrainian exports, he said.
