Ukrainian govt approves USPA financial plan for 2024

MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has endorsed the financial plan of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) for 2024 with the revenue of 3.8 billion hryvni and the net profit of 311 million hryvni, Ukrainian media outlets said, citing USPA's pages on social networks on Wednesday.

Capital investments for 2024 will make up 487 million hryvni. Contributions on the state budget and targeted funds are envisaged in the amount of 1.672 billion hryvni.

It was reported earlier that the sea ports of Ukraine handled over 46.2 million tonnes of cargoes in January-October 2023, which is 13.2% or 5.4 million tonnes more than in the same period of 2022. Grain cargoes made up the majority of cargoes handed in the ports with 34.9 million tones (76% of the total transshipment capacity), which is nearly 70% more than in the same period of 2022. Overall, transshipment of export cargoes increased to 41.7 million tonnes, up by 22.8%, in January-October 2023, USPA said.

USPA is implementing 15 investment projects together with its investors in the Izmail and Reni ports.
