Baku ready for dialogue with Yerevan on peace agreement, normalization of bilateral relations - Aliyev

BAKU. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Baku is ready for dialogue with Yerevan on a peace agreement and the normalization of bilateral relations, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said.

He made the statement at a meeting with British Minister of State for Europe and North America Leo Docherty in Baku on Wednesday.

According to the presidential website, Aliyev announced the complete restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty as a result of the antiterrorist operation in Karabakh in September 2023.

"The head of state said there are no more impediments to signing a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia and underscored our country's support for the regional peace agenda. He also noted that Azerbaijan was ready for dialogue with Armenia on a peace agreement and the normalization of bilateral relations," a statement said.
