Ukraine's Danube ports double cargo transshipment since year beginning - PM

MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Danube ports have more than doubled cargo transshipment since the beginning of this year, Ukrainian media said, citing Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

"Danube ports have more than doubled cargo transshipment in 2023. The number of ships that called on Reni, Izmail and Ust-Dunaisk has grown 54% since then," Shmygal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.

Romania is a key partner, as it accounts for 11% of Ukrainian exports, he said.

"We observe very positive dynamics in bilateral trade and expect the Ukrainian-Romanian trade turnover to grow to 4 million tonnes by the end of the year. We will continue our active work in this area," Shmygal said.
