Total of 553 evacuees from Gaza transported to Moscow - Russian Emergency Situations Ministry

MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Another Ilyushin Il-76 plane of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has brought evacuees from Gaza to Moscow's Domodedovo Airport, the ministry said in a statement on Telegram.

"Another 28 Russian citizens and their families have been transported to Moscow," the ministry said.

The ministry has transported 553 evacuees to Russia since the beginning of the humanitarian mission, it said.

In the early hours of November 20, another group of evacuees from Gaza, 117 Russian citizens and their families (Palestinians and citizens of Ukraine and Sweden), arrived in Moscow from Cairo by the Emergency Situations Ministry's special flight, according to earlier reports referring to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"The Foreign Ministry, the Emergency Situations Ministry, other relevant agencies, and our diplomatic missions in Cairo, Tel Aviv, Ramallah and Doha continue their coordinated efforts to evacuate the remaining Russian citizens and their families from the conflict zone in the coming days," the ministry said.
