Former Gazprombank economist for CIS appointed director of CBR dept. for cooperation with int'l organizations

MOSCOW. Nov 20 (Interfax) - Gulnara Khaidarshina has been appointed director of the Department for Cooperation with International Organizations of the Central Bank of Russia (CBR), the CBR said in a statement.

Khaidarshina was previously chief macroeconomist for the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and deputy director of the market trends department at Gazprombank (GPB). Khaidarshina has been working in the financial sector for 17 years.

The CBR in February 2023 announced establishing the department for cooperation with international organizations to replace the discontinued department for international cooperation. Tatiana Delizonas was the acting director of the liquidated department, having replaced the department's former director, Andrei Lipin.

The Department for Cooperation with International Organizations is responsible for organizing, coordinating, implementing, and developing the CBR's international activities in financial and regional integration with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), CIS, and Union State; in regional interaction with the countries of the EAEU and other regions and countries; and in multilateral interaction with the BRICS countries, International Monetary Fund (IMF), Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), World Trade Organization (WTO), Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), New Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), European Investment Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Asian Development Bank, Eurasian Development Bank, Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, Interstate bank, the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development, and the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
