Vkusvill acquires brand, key assets of AnderSon cafe chain - paper

MOSCOW. Nov 20 (Interfax) - Russian retailer Vkusvill has acquired the AnderSon chain of family cafes, national daily Kommersant reported, citing sources.

A spokesman for Vkusvill said the deal to buy the chain's brand and main assets has already been closed, the paper said.

The Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE) showed that Vkusvill Kafe LLC became the charge holder of stakes in Anderson-Franchising LLC, TD Anderson LLC, Fabrika Schastya LLC and Ikke LLC in November.

The price of the transaction was not disclosed. Analytics company InfoLine estimates the AnderSon brand and factory kitchen are worth 600 million-800 million rubles.

Vkusvill began testing a new format in February 2023, opening its own cafes with floor space of about 100 square meters. The retail has been looking for restaurant assets for acquisition for some time, the paper said, citing market sources.

The AnderSon chain, which opened in 2009, has 38 cafes and a factory kitchen.
