AI to be used in scientific projects on new Russian space station - Roscosmos head
MOSCOW. Nov 20 (Interfax) - AI will be part of the scientific equipment used on the new Russian space station, Roscosmos head Yury Borisov said.
"The foundation of the future station is the composition of scientific equipment [...], technologies have changed, robots will be used to the fullest, alongside processing technologies, artificial intelligence and other things to be used onboard," Borisov said at the Science on the ISS international conference on Monday.
The new station will be equipped with X-ray and K-band optical sensors for permanent remote sensing of the Earth, including of Russian territory, he said.
He also said that the exterior of the Russian space station would be used "more effectively" than that of the International Space Station.
