Deputy PM Novak instructs Energy Ministry, FAS to oversee situation with fuel prices in individual regions

MOSCOW. Nov 17 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting with management of the respective oil companies; the representatives of the Energy, Finance, and Agriculture ministries, respectively; as well as the representatives of the Federal Anti-monopoly Service (FAS) and the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) regarding the situation on the domestic market for petroleum products, the government's press service said in a statement on Thursday.

The representatives of the Energy Ministry and the Agriculture Ministry noted the stabilization of fuel prices in the country and the absence of shortage. The planned reduction in prices for gasoline and diesel fuel in the small wholesale segment continues in most regions in line with the exchange dynamics.

Novak instructed the Energy Ministry and the FAS to oversee and monitor the situation with fuel prices in individual regions.
