One in five Russians planning to buy car in next 2-3 years - poll

MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - As many as 22% of Russians plan to buy a personal car in the next two to three years, a poll conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) published on the sociological center's official website said.

The survey showed that respondents aged between 18 and 30 (47%) are making such plans more often than anyone else.

The poll revealed that more than a third of Russian citizens (35%) believe that the quality of Russian cars has recently been improving, while the number of respondents who have the opposite opinion is three and a half times less (8%).

The FOM survey shows that one in four Russians (26%) believe that the quality of Russian cars has not changed, and about a third of Russian citizens (31%) do not know what to say on this subject.

The opinion poll was conducted on October 20-22, 2023. It surveyed 1,500 respondents aged 18 and over in 104 Russian communities in 53 regions.
