Vimpelcom invests in Russian corporate training platform Kampus
MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Hive LLC, a venture capital subsidiary of Russian mobile service provider Vimpelcom, has acquired a 12% stake in Theory & Practice LLC (T&P), Vimpelcom reported.
T&P develops a platform for automating and improving employee adaptation, development and training for small, medium and large businesses under the Kampus brand.
The size of the investment was not disclosed.
Vimpelcom expects to attract new investors to the project in subsequent rounds, the company's innovation director Nikolai Yevchenko was reported as saying in the press release.
T&P was incorporated in October 2019, the SPARK-Interfax system showed. The company's largest shareholder is Qiwi cofounder Sergei Soloninin with 55.23%. The CEO of publishing house Alpina, Ilya Dolgopolsky, Alpina Publisher LLC head Alexei Ilyin and Alpina Digital LLC head Alexander Limansky each hold 7.59% and Nadezhda Makova owns 10%.
T&P earned revenue of 110.4 million rubles in 2022.
The Kampus platform was released in March 2021 and it now has over 40 clients, including leading retailer X5 Group, developer Samolet Group, Gazprom Media Holding and Qiwi. The platform had 160,000 users as of the beginning of November.
