Moscow manufacturer starts supplying own bank machines

MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - A Moscow manufacturer has started supplying bank machines that it developed itself and began mass producing at the Rudnevo industrial park in May, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

"Three partner banks have already received the first machines. Several more organizations are doing testing," Sobyanin said on his Telegram channel on Thursday.

He said the ATMs have 80% domestic components and are programmed with the company's own software. "The company plans to completely transition to Russian components in 2026," Sobyanin said.

The ATMs have touch screens, a multimedia system and protection from fraud and vandalism. A biometric camera enables users to carry out some transactions without using cards, Sobyanin said.

"The plant now has capacity to produce up to 15,000 bank machines per year. In future, two times more," the mayor said.

It was reported earlier that ATM Market was localizing production of ATMs based on domestic Elbrus microprocessors at the Rudnevo industrial park. ATM Market LLC is the official distributor in Russia for the ATMs of China's GRG Banking Equipment, the company's website said.
