Eleven communities in Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk regions partially de-energized due to bad weather - Ukrenergo

MOSCOW. Nov 15 (Interfax) - As of November 15, 11 communities in the Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk regions were partially de-energized due to inclement weather, Ukrainian media reported on Wednesday, citing the Ukrenergo national energy company.

In total, 437 Ukrainian communities, in particular, in the Kharkov, Chernigov and Sumy regions, remain blacked out for various reasons, the reports said.

On November 15, electricity is being exported to Slovakia, Romania and Moldova in the night hours with the daily lowest consumption totaling 1,422 MWh and with a peak capacity of up to 263 MW in some hours, Ukrenergo said.

Electricity is being imported mainly in the daytime hours from Slovakia, Romania and Moldova totaling 3,896 MWh with a peak capacity of up to 556 MW in some hours.

"Electricity produced by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of all household and legal consumers. Ukrenergo sees no grounds for restrictions in the power system. Consumption limits have not been imposed," Ukrenergo said.
