Google fined 15 mln rubles for repeated refusals to localize Russian clients' data

MOSCOW. Nov 14 (Interfax) - A Moscow justice of the peace has imposed an administrative fine of 15 million rubles on Google for repeatedly refusing to localize the personal data of Russian clients in Russia, an Interfax correspondent reported.

A ruling by acting Justice of the Peace from Judicial District No. 422 in Moscow's Tagansky district Alexandra Mikhalyova imposed "a penalty on Google LLC in the form of an administrative fine of 15 million rubles."

The company was found guilty of repeatedly failing to localize the personal data of Russian clients in databases on Russian territory.

Representatives of the company did not attend the court hearing.
