Kiev decides to hold tender for re-staffing Ukrenergo's Supervisory Board

MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has adopted a decision to announce a competitive selection of candidates for the position of one independent member of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrenergo national energy company.

The government made this decision on Friday, Ukrainian media reported citing a statement issued by the Economy Ministry.

Under the order, the competitive selection should be organized by the Economy Ministry and the Energy Ministry involving the committee for the appointment of the top managers of enterprises of special importance for the economy.

"Currently, the members of Ukrenergo's Supervisory Board are managing it with an incomplete staff. The government's decision will allow refilling their staff and improving the efficiency of the state strategic enterprise," Deputy Economy Minister Alexei Sobolev was quoted as saying in the statement.

As reported, there is currently one vacant position on Ukrenergo's National Supervisory Board, as in April 2022, the Energy Ministry terminated the powers of Dejan Ostojic, an independent member of the National Supervisory Board, following his application.

The independent members of the company's Supervisory Board are Peder Andreasen, Daniel Dobbeni (head of the Supervisory Board), Roman Pionkowski, and state representatives Yury Tokarsky, Alexander Baranyuk, and Yury Boiko.
