Feed corn prices rising in Ukraine since early Nov - analysts

MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - Feed corn prices started growing in Ukraine since early November: by now, they have risen by 100-300 hryvni per tonne to 3,800-5,000 hryvni per tonne CPT, Ukrainian media said, citing the APK-Inform information analytical agency.

"The situation mostly results from export market dynamics, the high demand from export-centered companies and the insufficient corn supply caused by sales containment by agrarians," the analysts said.

As reported, the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry expects agrarians' loses from grain and oilseeds to decrease in 2023, while production of three out of five main export-oriented crops will remain unprofitable. Losses are expected in production of wheat, barley and corn, while sunflower seeds and soybeans are profitable.
