USDA raises Ukraine wheat export forecast 1 mln tonnes to 12 mln tonnes

MOSCOW. Nov 10 (Interfax) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has raised its Ukrainian wheat export forecast for the 2023 2024 marketing year by 1 million tonnes to 12 million tonnes, Ukrainian media reported, quoting a USDA report.

The wheat harvest forecast is unchanged at 22 million tonnes, while the estimate of carryover stocks at the end of this agricultural year was lowered to 3.08 million tonnes.

The Department also improved its forecast for the fodder grain harvest in Ukraine in the 2023/2024 agricultural year by 1.85 million tonnes to 36.42 million tonnes, including corn by 1.5 million tonnes to 29.5 million tonnes.

The forecast for fodder grain exports was increased by 0.7 million tonnes to 22.07 million tonnes, including corn by 0.5 million tonnes to 20 million tonnes. The estimate of carryover stocks at the end of this agricultural year was increased by 1.15 million tonnes to 7.45 million tonnes, including corn by 1 million tonnes to 6.43 million tonnes.
