Rosatom ready to develop NPP construction project for Kazakhstan - Putin

MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - Russia's Rosatom state corporation is ready to develop a nuclear power plant construction project for Kazakhstan using most advanced technologies, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"As you know, the leadership of the Republic of Kazakhstan is considering the construction of a nuclear power plant on its territory. If the decision to implement this project is made, Rosatom state corporation is ready to develop a relevant project using the most advanced technologies in compliance with the highest environmental requirements and safety standards," Putin said in an interview with the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper published on the Kremlin website.

"This will boost energy supply of the economy of Kazakhstan and give a strong impetus to the social and economic development of the country," he said.
