State Border Guard Service of Ukraine discloses data on border crossings

MOSCOW. Nov 7 (Interfax) - The number of border crossings at the entry into Ukraine has surpassed that at the exit by 23,000 in the period from October 29 to November 3.

Border crossings at the exit dropped from 290,000 in the previous week to 268,000 last week, while those recorded at the entry climbed from 273,000 to 291,000, Ukrainian media said on social media, citing the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The number of transport vehicles crossing Ukraine's western border subsided from 135,000 to 133,000 in the 44th week of the year, while there was a marginal increase in the number of documented entries by vehicles carrying humanitarian cargoes, from 756 to 761, the media said.

According to figures from the UN refugee agency, as of October 29, there were 5.840 million Ukrainian refugees in Europe, and 6.232 million across the globe. The number increased by 13,000 from October 22.

There were 5.088 million internally displaced persons in Ukraine at the end of May, the UN data show.
