Putin not planning contacts with Israeli, Egyptian, Iranian leaders for now - Peskov

MOSCOW. Nov 7 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin is not planning contacts with his Middle East counterparts for the time being, although negotiations at the working level are ongoing all the time, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"Contacts with the parties mentioned were maintained at the working level on a daily basis, while no contacts are planned at the top level thus far," Peskov told journalists on Tuesday, when asked whether the Russian president is planning contacts with any of his counterparts from the Middle Eastern region, including the leaders of Israel, Egypt, and Iran, now that Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas's visit to Moscow has been called off.
