Oil refining in Russia to grow by about 2% in 2023 compared with 2022 - energy minister

MOSCOW. Nov 7 (Interfax) - Crude oil refining in Russia will grow by about 2% in 2023, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said on the sidelines of a marathon organized by the Knowledge (Znanie) Society as part of the Russia Forum.

"Crude [oil] refining will be about 2% higher than in the past year," Shulginov said.

As reported, in 2022, the amount of oil refining in Russia decreased by 3% and reached 272 million tonnes. Therefore, the Energy Ministry is expecting this parameter to grow nearly to 277.5 million tonnes by the end of the year.
