SOCAR and Tatneft sign road map on partnership in oil sphere

BAKU. Nov 3 (Interfax) - The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Tatneft have signed a roadmap for cooperation, the press service for Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy said.

The document envisages cooperation between the companies in production, refining and sale of oil and petrochemical products, exchange of experience, development of human capital and others.

The document was signed in Baku during a meeting between Azerbaijan's Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Tatneft CEO Nail Maganov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ongoing projects in the energy sector and opportunities for cooperation.

"During the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the successful development of cooperation with Tatneft, considered priority areas of cooperation with the company, opportunities for cooperation in the energy sector, and exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest. The head of SOCAR and CEO of Tatneft then signed a roadmap for cooperation," the statement said.
