Around 60% of Russians consider Moscow's foreign policy efficient - poll

MOSCOW. Nov 2 (Interfax) - More than half of Russians (59%) who keep up with Russia's foreign-policy course consider it successful, the findings of a Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) poll, published on the pollster's website on Thursday show.

Respondents cited strengthened cooperation with Asia, Africa and Latin America among Moscow's most efficient steps, FOM said.

The opposite view is held by one in four (24%), who argued that the foreign-policy course is too soft, it said.

Nearly one in six Russians (17%) interested in foreign policy could not rate its efficiency, FOM said.

Almost half of Russians (49%) keep themselves informed on Moscow's foreign policies, almost two-thirds (65%) in this group are aged over 60.

The poll was conducted among 1,500 adults in 104 populated areas across 53 Russians regions on October 13-15, 2023.
