Moldovan president, ruling party lead trust ratings - poll

CHISINAU. Nov 2 (Interfax) - Almost one-third of Moldova's citizens do not trust any politicians, a public opinion poll conducted by the Date Inteligente (iData) company shows.

"The trust rating is topped by President Maia Sandu (22%), followed by runaway oligarch Ilan Shor (10.6%), Socialist leader Igor Dodon (9.4%), and Chisinau Mayor Ivan Ceban (5.8%). More than 31.6% do not trust any politicians," Mihai Bolocan, iData director, told a press conference on Thursday.

If an early parliamentary election was held this coming Sunday, 23.8% of respondents said they would vote for the ruling Party of Action and Solidarity, 12.9% said they would vote for the Party of Socialists, and 12.2% said they would vote for the Chance party. The other candidates do not make the five percent threshold. The poll showed that over 30% of respondents are undecided or will not vote.
