Ukraine's DTEK restores power supply to 337,000 clients, renovates energy infrastructure near Kiev in Oct

MOSCOW. Nov 2 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian DTEK electric company restored power supply to 337,000 households in October, Ukrainian media said with the reference to the company's press release.

Electricians of DTEK distribution network operators restored power supply to 316,000 households in the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk region and another 21,000 households in the Dnepropetrovsk region in October, the media said.

Power supply also resumed to 417 households in the Odessa region, where power grids were damaged in October.

Additionally, DTEK specialists renovated five energy infrastructure elements in the most energy-deficient areas of the Kiev region: Obukhov, Bucha and Brovary districts, the media said.

For instance, they built new power transmission lines, upgraded transformers, installed surge suppressors, renovated relay protection systems, and performed other work.

DTEK reported earlier that over 4,000 kilometers of power transmission lines had been repaired, almost 300 essential energy facilities had been renovated, and 3,100 kilometers of power transmission lines had been cleared of bushes in the Kiev region together with the regional authorities to prepare for the heating season 2023/2024.

DTEK Grids develops electricity distribution business and operates power grids in Kiev, the Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk and Odessa regions, and the Kiev-controlled part of the Donetsk region. The company provides services to 5.4 million households and 150,000 enterprises.
