Miller: By mid-2024, we plan to create legally binding contractual basis for cooperation with countries of Central Asia over 15-year horizon

ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 1 (Interfax) - Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan intend to determine their obligations with regard to cooperation on gas supplies and transit by mid-2024, Alexei Miller, Chairman of the Board of Gazprom said during the plenary meeting of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

"We have defined the horizon of our cooperation with our colleagues from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan as 15 years. (...) And those meetings, the negotiations that have already taken place or will take place at the site of our current forum, they are aimed at ensuring that, within the current period of time, we sign memorandums with the goal of establishing a legally binding contractual basis for cooperation with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan for 15 years by mid-2024," he said.

Miller said that Gazprom is expanding the range of cooperation with Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan: "These are absolutely all possible areas - both in the oil industry and gas processing."
