Zelensky meets with U.S. Congress delegation

MOSCOW. Oct 31 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has met with a bipartisan delegation of the U.S. Congress' House of Representatives comprising James French Gill, Michael Quigley and Stephen Lynch on a visit to Ukraine.

Such solidarity visits send a strong message of U.S. support for Ukraine and its people, Ukrainian media said with the reference to Zelensky's press service.

"We highly appreciate the fact that the Republican and Democratic parties, the administration of President Joe Biden, and both houses of the U.S. Congress are united in their support for Ukraine," Zelensky said.

The meeting addressed further U.S. comprehensive support for Ukraine. The importance of Biden's budget request to the Congress for financing assistance to Ukraine, which implies budgetary and military assistance, was emphasized in that context, the media said.

"The U.S. support is unwavering," the report quoted Zelensky as saying.
