Ukraine's DTEK repairs 20 out of 27 power plant units planned

MOSCOW. Oct 30 (Interfax) - Ukraine's DTEK has repaired 20 thermal power plant units out of 27 units planned for 2023.

"Today, DTEK energy specialists have added another repaired thermal power plant unit to the reliability of the Ukrainian power grid. This is the fifth unit in October and the 20th since the year beginning," Ukrainian media said with the reference to the energy holding's press release on Monday.

The unit will enlarge the balancing capacity of the Ukrainian power grid by up to 240MW.

"In all, DTEK plans to repair 27 power plant units this year, and the investment [in repairs] will near 3.9 billion hryvni, almost twice as much as last year," the company said.

As reported, DTEK Energo repaired 19 power plant units by the beginning of the 2023/2024 heating season.
