Roscosmos to draw conclusions from Luna 25 crash, but not planning personnel reshuffle - company head

KOROLYOV, Moscow region. Oct 27 (Interfax) - Roscosmos is not planning a personnel reshuffle in the wake of the Luna 25 crash, corporation head Yury Borisov has said.

"You know what, no," Borisov said in response to a question about a possible personnel reshuffle after the Luna 25 failure.

"The collective is young. It is very worried. And we worry about it. Of course, there are certain reasons for any mistake. Of course, we will look into them and draw conclusions. But if we start slapping the young collective on the wrist, [...] they may run away, leave. Now, on the contrary, we need to support them, instill confidence and help them develop wings. There is a lot they can do," Borisov said following a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"There will be no administrative conclusions drawn. Alas, failures happen in space," he said.

"The entire history of the lunar program is a series of failures. Nevertheless, there is no other way to make progress. Stopping the collective there, at this failure, would be absolutely wrong. We will carry on," Borisov said.
