Ashgabat to host next CIS Council of Heads of Govt session in May

BISHKEK. Oct 26 (Interfax) - The next session of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Council of Heads of Government will be held in Ashgabat next May, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov said on Thursday.

"The next session of the CIS Council of Heads of Government will take place in Ashgabat in May 2024," Japarov said.

The session's exact date will be set after the participants agree on it, he said.

"We tentatively plan this meeting for May 23-24," he said.
