The ministry said in its daily update on social media on Thursday that this would not affect power generation, which fully covers the country's needs at the moment.

The national power grid operator Ukrenergo also said there were no grounds for imposing consumption restrictions.

At the same time, adverse weather left 98 communities in the Kiev, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkassy, and Chernigov regions without electricity.

Another 411 communities are still cut off from power supply for various reasons.

According to the ENTSO-E website, Ukraine increased its electricity exports to Moldova and Slovakia by nearly 12% to 3,201 MW/h on Thursday compared to Wednesday, and electricity imports from those countries declined by about as much to 447 MW/h.
