Total of 630 people to be hired by Nestle Ukraine, to join its traineeship programs in 2024-2025

MOSCOW. Oct 26 (Interfax) - As many as 630 people will be hired by the Nestle company in Ukraine or will join its traineeship programs in 2024-2025 under the Nestle Needs YOUth program, Ukrainian media said, citing the company's press service.

Nestle plans to hire 320 people aged 30 or younger and to invite another 310 to join its traineeship programs, the company said.

"In Ukraine, we continue to promote the Nestle Needs YOUth program, which helps develop leadership qualities, offers career opportunities to young Ukrainians and helps them receive their first job," Nestle General Director for Ukraine and South and Eastern Europe Market Alessandro Zanelli.

Nestle in Ukraine announced in early 2023 that $42 million would be invested in the construction of a new factory in the Volyn region, Zanelli said.

"Our goal is to create a food hub in the Volyn region, develop infrastructure and suppliers' network, which will create additional opportunities and new workplaces," he said.

Nestle's Ukraine division has already hired more than 80 people aged 30 or younger under the Nestle Needs YOUth program since the beginning of this year, he said.

Furthermore, the Nestle business center in Lvov, which has a staff of 1,700, mostly young people, continues to hire employees. Nestle in Ukraine has provided jobs to more than 500 people since the start of the crisis.

In Ukraine, the Nestle Needs YOUth program was first launched in 2013 in Lvov, which already hosted a Nestle factory and the international Nestlé Business Service Lviv. Over the past ten years of the functioning of the Nestle Needs YOUth, which helps young people gain access to apprenticeships, traineeships and job opportunities, Nestle in Ukraine has hired more than 4,800 people aged 30 or younger, and around 1,900 students have participated in the company's traineeship and apprenticeship program.
