Ukraine to export poultry meat to Kuwait

MOSCOW. Oct 26 (Interfax) - Ukraine's State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry opened access for Ukrainian producers of poultry meat and poultry products to Kuwait's market, Ukrainian media said, citing Gosprodpotrebsluzhba's press service.

The market operator is responsible for the safety of food products and their compliance with the country's standards, while Gosprodpotrebsluzhba is in charge of state supervision and control, it said.

The first step to start exporting food products is the market operator's request to the territorial division of Gosprodpotrebsluzhba in the district where the facilities are located, the press service said.

As reported, Ukraine began exporting its livestock products to the markets of Azerbaijan and North Macedonia in 2023.
