EU working on 12th anti-Russian sanctions package that may include diamonds, aluminum - Brussels officials

BRUSSELS. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Another anti-Russian sanctions package is currently under discussion, a senior European Union official told reporters in Brussels on the condition of anonymity.

The new sanctions package is expected to reflect the work on diamonds within G7, and aluminum has also been discussed, the official said.

According to another European source, restrictions concerning dual-purpose goods are being prepared. The EU is in consultations with Ukraine with regard to imported components reportedly being discovered in Russian weapons, the European official said.

Measures to counteract any bypassing of EU sanctions are also being discussed, the source said.
